MeroShare is the online portal of CDS and Clearing Limited through which investors view their demat holdings, apply for public issues through C-ASBA and manage share transfers.
Explained
MeroShare connects the investor's demat account with online services. Investors obtain login credentials from the Depository Participant (DP) where their demat account is held, usually for an annual fee.
Main functions:
- Viewing holdings, transaction history and account statements.
- Applying for IPOs, FPOs, right shares and mutual fund units through C-ASBA, using the CRN obtained from a C-ASBA member bank.
- Checking allotment results.
- Electronic delivery instruction (EDIS) to transfer shares from the seller's demat account after a sale on NEPSE.
- Purchase source and cost updates for capital gains tax calculation.
- Pledge and other requests, depending on DP services.
MeroShare made share application paperless and nationwide: investors no longer need to visit bank branches to fill application forms. CDSC reports millions of registered MeroShare users, reflecting the rapid growth of retail participation in Nepal's capital market.

व्याख्या
मेरो शेयरले लगानीकर्ताको डिम्याट खातालाई अनलाइन सेवासँग जोड्छ। डिम्याट खाता रहेको निक्षेप सदस्य (DP) बाट वार्षिक शुल्क तिरी लगइन लिइन्छ।
मुख्य काम: होल्डिङ र कारोबार विवरण हेर्ने; बैंकबाट लिएको CRN प्रयोग गरी C-ASBA मार्फत IPO, FPO, हकप्रद शेयर र म्युचुअल फन्डमा आवेदन; बाँडफाँट नतिजा हेर्ने; नेप्सेमा बिक्रीपछि शेयर हस्तान्तरण (EDIS); पुँजीगत लाभ कर गणनाका लागि खरिद लागत अद्यावधिक; धितो जस्ता अनुरोध।
