Establishment: 2010, incorporated under the Company Act; it operates under the Securities Act, 2063 and the Company Act, 2063. It is a subsidiary of NEPSE, which holds 50.93% according to CDSC. It became a member of the Asia-Pacific Central Securities Depository Group (ACG) in September 2012.

Functions:

• central depository for equities, bonds and warrants in dematerialised form;
• clearing and settlement of NEPSE trades on a T+2 cycle;
• safekeeping, deposit, withdrawal and transfer of ownership of securities;
• dematerialisation (physical to electronic) and rematerialisation;
• electronic IPO services, with allotted securities credited directly to demat accounts;
• the Mero Share online portal and the C-ASBA system through which investors apply for public issues via banks;
• registering depository participants (DPs), registrar and transfer agents (RTAs) and clearing members.

Investors open a DEMAT account through a depository participant, often a bank's capital subsidiary or a broker.

स्थापना: कम्पनी ऐनअन्तर्गत सन् २०१० मा; धितोपत्र सम्बन्धी ऐन, २०६३ र कम्पनी ऐन, २०६३ अनुसार सञ्चालन। यो नेप्सेको सहायक कम्पनी हो र CDSC का अनुसार नेप्सेको ५०.९३ प्रतिशत स्वामित्व छ। सेप्टेम्बर २०१२ मा एसिया-प्रशान्त केन्द्रीय धितोपत्र निक्षेप समूह (ACG) को सदस्य बन्यो।

• शेयर, ऋणपत्र र वारेन्ट अभौतिक रूपमा राख्ने केन्द्रीय निक्षेप;
• नेप्सेका कारोबारको T+2 मा क्लियरिङ र फर्स्यौट;
• धितोपत्रको सुरक्षा, जम्मा, निकासा र स्वामित्व हस्तान्तरण;
• डिम्याटेरियलाइजेसन (भौतिकबाट विद्युतीय) र रिम्याटेरियलाइजेसन;
• विद्युतीय IPO सेवा, बाँडफाँड भएका धितोपत्र सिधै डिम्याट खातामा;
• मेरो शेयर अनलाइन पोर्टल र बैंकमार्फत आवेदन दिने सी-आस्बा प्रणाली;
• निक्षेप सदस्य (DP), रजिस्ट्रार (RTA) र क्लियरिङ सदस्यको दर्ता।

लगानीकर्ताले निक्षेप सदस्यमार्फत डिम्याट खाता खोल्छन्।
