- Unified Directive 15: interest on demand and short-notice (call) deposits may not exceed half of the minimum interest rate offered on saving deposits, and cheques may not be issued on such accounts.
- Unified Directive 16: the share of local-currency call deposits in total deposits is capped, with a lower cap for class A banks than for class B and C institutions.
- Unified Directive 16: a call account with no transactions for more than a year must be made dormant.
- Call deposits are excluded when NRB computes the averages that limit how far an institution may change its deposit rates.
